		<description>This is a fascinating subject.  I recently read that New York Times article and found it interesting that a few of the subjects featured did not have what would be considered a &quot;formal&quot; curatorial education or career arc, but are labeled curators just the same.  

Working in a museum education department, I have often witnessed the &quot;at odds&quot; you speak of, but I am reassured by the fact that when those heads butt, it is typically because of the high level of repect, training and passion that fuels their work.

I agree that it is time for the historical curatorial position to be re-examined and re-defined or face extinction.</description>
